Perlite Hellas was founded in the early 90’s producing expanded and raw perlite. We have a vertical integrated line of production which enables us to have a full control of our final product. Custom made solutions are also available on request.
Having been involved in the mining of perlite from the early 70’s, before the founding of our company, the family-owned Perlite Hellas incorporates an experience of three generations. Integrity and ethics are the values that rule our business operations.
The accumulated knowledge and experience of our R&D department developed a new product in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Dept of civil engineering).
Perlimat is a project of ready mixed restoration materials. It is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Greek National Funds through the operational programme: Competitiveness,Enterpreneurship and innovation.

1992: A Vision Takes Shape
- After 2 decades of mining and processing raw perlite, Athanasios Saridis dedicates himself to expanded perlite, laying the foundation for Perlite Hellas in Volos.
1993: Perlite’s first dryer
- Perlite Hellas acquires its first dryer
1994: Bright Euram Project Unveiled
- Perlite Hellas participates in the Bright Euram project, introducing plaster-grade perlite (A2), a pivotal material in gypsum plasters, showcasing the company’s early commitment to innovation.
1996: Launch of Perlobeton S
- Launch of Perlobeton S a leading brand in the greek market, widely used in construction
2003: Commitment to Quality and Precision
- Perlite Hellas further enhances its product quality by obtaining ISO certification. Simultaneously, the company establishes a dedicated laboratory for rigorous quality control, solidifying its commitment to excellence.
2005: Pioneering Perlobeton S Section
- The company expands its facilities, introducing the Perlobeton S section. This specialized section focuses on creating palletized perlite-based products tailored for construction purposes, showcasing Perlite Hellas’ diversification and commitment to market-specific solutions.
2006: Meeting Growing Demand
- Recognizing the surge in demand, Perlite Hellas invests in a second line of production for expanded perlite. This strategic move not only reflects the company’s responsiveness to market dynamics but also underlines its dedication to meeting customer needs.

Pozomat, a lightweight pozzolan industrial by-product,is the ultimate solution in its three variants, for the renovation of historical buildings and structures. Pozomat is developed in cooperation with the Aristotle university of Thessaloniki aiming to protect our cultural heritage.
